What should I (or my child) expect?
At your first visit to our office, one of our orthodontists will examine your mouth, teeth, jaws, and bite. They will discuss any concerns or questions that you may have and will make recommendations for any necessary treatment. If treatment is recommended, they will discuss with you the most optimal timing for that treatment to begin.
Is there a charge for this visit?
No, this evaluation is complimentary.
At what age should I bring my child in for an evaluation?
The American Association of Orthodontics recommends that children be seen by an orthodontist around age 7. Most children will not need to begin treatment at this time but there are certain bite problems that are important to screen for and treat early.

Should I bring anything with me to this visit?
If you have a recent Panoramic x-ray from your dentist, it is helpful to bring that with you. We can also contact your dentist directly to have it sent to us. Please bring your insurance card if you have Orthodontic insurance as well as any paperwork that we have requested.
You may also fill out our Registration Form and bring it with you.
How long is this visit?
Approximately 15-30 minutes depending on the complexity of the case.
If I am going to start treatment, what is the next step?
After the initial evaluation, the next step is to come in to have records taken. At the records visit, we will take photographs, models (impressions), radiographs, and you will meet with the doctor to discuss your treatment plan.
